BMW Z4 M40i over 5 billion "unique" in Vietnam reappears

Compared to dozens of BMW Z4s imported to Vietnam, this M40i convertible uses a more powerful engine and costs about 2 billion VND more than the sDrive30i version.

Recently, a new generation BMW Z4 convertible sports car was caught rolling on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City at night, and interestingly, this special Z4 is not as ordinary as you think.

Compared to dozens of BMW Z4s officially imported to Vietnam, this car is the M40i, which uses a more powerful engine, and costs about 2 billion VND more than the sDrive30i version when it arrived in the country in 2020, causing a stir in the car enthusiast community.

This new generation BMW Z4 convertible sports car was brought in by a private import company 5 years ago with a Glacier Silver Metallic exterior and red interior. The car was originally owned by a customer in Hanoi but it took a few years to get a license plate, before he sold it to a car enthusiast in Ho Chi Minh City.

The special feature of the first new generation luxury BMW Z4 convertible sports car in Vietnam is the M40i version, which means the car is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 382 horsepower and maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,600 - 4,500 rpm.

This engine allows the new BMW Z4 M40i 2020 convertible sports car in Vietnam to accelerate from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. Meanwhile, the new generation BMW Z4 sDrive30i Msport is only equipped with a 2.0-liter engine, producing a maximum capacity of 255 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm.

This engine allows the BMW Z4 sDrive30i Msport convertible sports car to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The 6th generation BMW Z4's fabric roof can open and close in 10 seconds, provided the car is running at a speed of less than 50 km/h.

In particular, the new generation BMW Z4's felt roof, whether open or closed, does not affect the luggage compartment with a volume of 265 liters. The appearance of the new generation BMW Z4 sports cars can excite those who are too familiar with the old generation BMW Z4 models currently rolling in Vietnam.

First of all, the "eyes" of the 6th generation BMW Z4 are completely new in design, the car uses beautiful LED headlights and new hexagonal LED daytime running lights. The front/rear bumpers, air vents, and grille are all new and stronger than the old version.

The BMW Z4 M40i is a suitable choice for young customers who love luxury sports cars. But with such a "expensive" price when it first arrived in Vietnam in 2021 of more than 5 billion VND, this "unique" 2021 Z4 M40i will probably be quite picky about buyers, even when resold.
