It is known that most likely, Coach Park Hang Seo will play the role of Technical Director, and Mr. Lee Young Jin will be the head coach of an ambitious team in the V-League.
Currently, the two sides are still in the process of negotiating a contract to finalize the terms. The identity of the V-League team that is said to invite coach Park Hang Seo and assistant Lee Young Jin to coach has not been revealed.
The return of this duo will certainly receive attention not only from experts but also from domestic football fans. Coach Park Hang Seo helps Vietnamese football turn a new page in history.
Speaking to the press recently, Coach Park Hang Seo shared: "I am planning to cooperate to open a youth training academy for Vietnamese football. I will use my experience as a coach in both Vietnam and Korea to contribute to Vietnamese football in the future."
Previously, Mr. Park left open his future: "I have ended my contract with VFF. If another place offers, I will consider it. But I think the probability of me signing with another national team in Southeast Asia besides Vietnam is low.
Honestly, in my heart, Vietnam is my second home. I think I'm just saying I'm considering it, but in my heart I don't agree."
Meanwhile, while working in Vietnam, assistant Lee Young Jin was a strong right-hand man who always supported Mr. Park a lot at both the national team and U23 levels.
"If in the future, the team needs me in a certain role, I am always ready. In addition, leading a club in the V-League is quite interesting, there have been some invitations for me in the recent past.
They appreciate my ability and have a clear strategy, however I will take some time to rest and think, most likely I will stay in Vietnam and appear as head coach of a team", assistant Lee once shared.
The understanding of the Park - Lee duo has helped U23 and the Vietnamese team reap many titles such as runner-up of U23 Asia 2018, top 4 Asiad 2018, champion of AFF Cup 2018, top 8 Asian Cup 2019, gold medal of SEA Games 2019 and 2021, and the peak is helping the Vietnamese national team reach the 3rd qualifying round of World Cup 2022.
V-League 2023 is about to return after more than a month of suspension. In the past time, the clubs have prepared very carefully and many teams have changed their head coaches.
