Ministry of Education and Training inspects universal education and illiteracy eradication work in the province

( HGO) – On August 23, the Inspection Team for recognition of universal education and illiteracy eradication standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, led by Mr. Sai Cong Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Training, inspected the recognition of universal education and illiteracy eradication (PCGD, XMC) in 2022 in Hau Giang province.

The delegation inspected the actual situation in Phung Hiep district, Chau Thanh A district and Long My town. During the inspection, the delegation inspected records, documents guiding implementation, investigation, statistics, management, record storage, the rate of mobilizing school-age children, socialization work, solutions to overcome limitations in PCGD and XMC work of districts, towns, communes, wards and towns in 3 districts and towns... For each district and town, the delegation surveyed and inspected 2 communes and wards; each commune and ward inspected 4 households with school-age children.

The inspection team of the Ministry of Education and Training inspected a household in Phuong Thanh hamlet, Phuong Binh commune, Phung Hiep district.

After the inspection, the Inspection Team recognized the achievement of PCGD and XMC standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and agreed that Phung Hiep district, Chau Thanh A district, and Long My town met PCGD and XMC standards in 2022. It was agreed that all 3 districts met PCGD standards for preschool children at level 3, PCGD for primary school at level 2, and XMC at level 2. Chau Thanh A district alone met PCGD for secondary school at level 3.

To improve the quality of PCGD and XMC, the Inspection Team recommends that districts and towns should pay more attention to improving the quality of education at schools, building schools that meet national standards, and ensuring the ratio of teachers to classes. The PCGD and XMC Steering Committees of districts and towns, communes, wards, and towns coordinate and support each other in collecting and updating accurate data and records of PCGD and XMC subjects, and storing PCGD and XMC records and books more scientifically...

For Phung Hiep district, the Steering Committee for PCGD and XMC of the district and communes needs to evaluate the results of the steering committee's participation in PCGD and XMC work annually, mobilize members of the steering committees of the communes to participate in the inspection team; some existing difficulties must provide specific solutions to improve the quality of PCGD and XMC sustainably, pay attention to communes with the rate of primary PCGD reaching level 3 but not yet sustainable, at risk of not meeting the standards in the coming year; have a roadmap to eliminate semi-permanent classrooms in the entire district; aim to raise the standard of PCGD for secondary schools to level 3 in 2023.

Chau Thanh A district alone reviews statistics on PCGD and XMC work to ensure specificity and accuracy (pay attention to children moving in and out); supplement the minutes of inspection of facilities in accordance with the process; focus on maintaining the quality of PCGD level 3 in 2023. Long My town focuses on investing in building schools that meet national standards; continues to increase resources for investment in facilities, teaching equipment, etc.
