The Ministry of Science and Technology announced and awarded decisions on appointment and transfer of new officials.

DNVN - On the afternoon of October 27, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on appointment and transfer of officials to 6 units under the Ministry, including: Department of Digital Economy and Society, National Digital Transformation Agency, Vietnam Internet Center, Institute of Technology Application, Information Technology Industry Agency and National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation.

The decision-awarding ceremony was presided over by Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Also attending the event were Deputy Ministers Pham Duc Long and Le Xuan Dinh, along with other leaders from units under the Ministry.

The list of appointed and transferred officials includes:

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Internet Center, has been reappointed for a fixed term.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam Internet Center.

Mr. Ha Quoc Trung, Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Office, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Technology.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science , Technology and Engineering, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry.

Mr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Agency.

Ms. Dinh Thi Linh Huong, Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Department, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Information Technology Industry Department.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Tien, Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Department, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Digital Economy and Society Department.

Ms. Tran Thi Quoc Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, has been assigned the duties of Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society until further notice.

Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, has been transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation.

During the ceremony, representing the newly appointed and transferred officials, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, the new Deputy Director of the National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation, shared: "This is a great opportunity for officials to continue to develop their abilities and experience, contributing to building the future in the field of digital technology."

Ms. Tran Thi Quoc Hien, Acting Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, said she was honored to be entrusted with this important responsibility by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Ministry's leadership. She pledged to work together with the unit's staff to effectively implement the key tasks of the Department of Digital Economy and Society in 2025, thereby promoting the development of the country's digital economy and digital society.

At the end of the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung congratulated the newly appointed officials and expressed his hope that they would demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, continuous effort, unity, and creativity to successfully complete their tasks, contributing to the success of the breakthrough goals in science, technology, and innovation development in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TƯ dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo.
