The Ministry of Science and Technology announced and awarded decisions on appointment and transfer of new officials.

DNVN - On the afternoon of October 27, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on appointment and transfer of officials to 6 units under the Ministry, including: Department of Digital Economy and Society, National Digital Transformation Agency, Vietnam Internet Center, Institute of Technology Application, Information Technology Industry Agency and National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation.

The decision-giving ceremony was chaired by Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee. Also attending the event were Deputy Ministers Pham Duc Long, Le Xuan Dinh and other leaders from units under the Ministry.

List of appointed and transferred officials includes:

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of Vietnam Internet Center, was reappointed for a term.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, was temporarily transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam Internet Center.

Mr. Ha Quoc Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Intellectual Property, was transferred and appointed for a limited term to the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Technology Application.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Science , Technology and Engineering, was transferred and appointed for a limited term to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry.

Mr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, was temporarily transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Agency.

Ms. Dinh Thi Linh Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance, was transferred and appointed for a limited term to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Tien, Deputy Director of the National Digital Transformation Agency, was temporarily transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society.

Ms. Tran Thi Quoc Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, was assigned as Acting Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society until further decision.

Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, was temporarily transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation.

At the ceremony, representing the appointed and transferred officials, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, new Deputy Director of the National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation, shared: "This is a great opportunity for officials to continue to promote their capacity and experience, contributing to creating the future in the field of digital technology."

Ms. Tran Thi Quoc Hien, Acting Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Society, said she was honored to be entrusted with this important responsibility by the Party Committee and the Ministry's leaders. She pledged to unite with the unit and make efforts to effectively implement the key tasks of the Department of Digital Economy and Society in 2025, thereby promoting the development of the country's digital economy and digital society.

At the end of the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung congratulated the appointed officials and expected them to demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, continuous efforts, solidarity and creativity to successfully complete their tasks, contributing to the success of the breakthrough goal in science, technology and innovation development in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo.
