In the 2024/2025 season, The Cong – Viettel Club won the bronze medal in the National Cup and finished 4th in the V.League national football championship. With the identity of a soldier, the team consistently demonstrates a disciplined, persistent fighting spirit and a desire to excel, regularly competing for the championship in the V.League, the National Cup, and other important tournaments.

Minister Phan Van Giang expressed his hope that the club would continue to uphold the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in competition, maintain the traditional identity of The Cong, and spread the spirit of military sports to the community. The Minister wished the entire team continued success in all competitions.

Besides the first team, the Minister also presented gifts to encourage the five youth teams of The Cong - Viettel, the next generation tasked with preserving traditions and laying the foundation for long-term development.
