According to the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Education and Training, this morning, June 23, Minister Nguyen Kim Son inspected the preparation for the high school graduation exam in Thai Binh .
At Nguyen Duc Canh High School, Mr. Son discussed with teachers who both teach and invigilate this year's exams and expressed concern about whether the literature exam does not use materials from textbooks, making teaching, learning, and exam preparation difficult.
A literature teacher at the school said that because they were aware of the changes in the way questions were set, they adjusted their teaching and exam preparation methods and affirmed: "This is a necessary change, in the general innovation of the industry, to develop students' abilities. Teachers and students have prepared best to meet the requirements of the exam."

Emphasizing that this year's exam has many new points, Mr. Son noted that schools need to calculate backup plans so as not to be passive in situations. "Teaching in class, teachers can freely be creative, but when it comes to proctoring exams, they must follow the regulations. Any questions should be asked immediately to the higher-level exam steering committee, not hidden, and not handled on their own," the head of the education sector requested.
Answering the question of the Minister of Education and Training: "Before a special exam with many new things, do teachers still have any concerns or problems?", Ms. Pham Hai Yen, a teacher at Nguyen Duc Canh High School, affirmed that she has clearly understood the instructions and guidance of the education sector; teachers have adapted to the new things, are aware of their roles and responsibilities in reviewing for students and are confident in carrying out assigned tasks.
Regarding the exam proctoring with a large number of exam papers in this year's exam, Ms. Yen said that she had been fully trained on the new points regarding the number of papers, how to number the candidates, etc., so the teachers had no concerns or questions.
Speaking to the Thai Binh province's exam steering committee, Minister Nguyen Kim Son noted the motto "4 rights", "3 no's", "2 reinforcements". In which, the "4 rights" are: correct exam regulations and instructions; correct and complete procedures; correct assigned positions, responsibilities and tasks; correct timing to handle unusual situations and incidents.
"3 no's" are: no negligence, subjectivity; no excessive stress or pressure; no arbitrarily handling unusual situations or incidents. "2 strengthen" are: enhancing the sense of responsibility and professional expertise of staff participating in organizing the exam; enhancing the spirit of self-awareness and compliance with exam regulations by candidates.
The Minister of Education and Training also emphasized: "We must be strict in handling situations; any violations when discovered must be strictly handled."
This year's exam takes place over 3 days (June 25, 26, 27), of which June 25 is the exam registration day, and the backup exam day is June 28. There are 1,165,289 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of nearly 100,000 candidates compared to 2024. The exam is held at 2,493 exam sites with 50,039 exam rooms, mobilizing about 200,000 officials, teachers, employees and functional forces to participate.
