On the afternoon of October 1, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Naval Region 5 Command held a conference to review experiences in ensuring safety in studying, working and participating in traffic in 2024. Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan, Political Commissar of the Region attended the conference; Colonel Luc Duc Tien, Deputy Commander of the Region chaired the conference.
In 2024, the work of ensuring safety in studying, working and participating in traffic will be closely and seriously led, directed, implemented and implemented by the Party Committee, the Naval Region 5 Command, and Party committees and commanders at all levels.
The region has done a good job of propaganda and education to raise awareness, sense of compliance with the law, discipline and regulations on safety assurance for officers and soldiers with many rich and diverse forms, suitable to practical conditions; at the same time, regularly organize experience sharing on safety assurance in studying, working and participating in traffic to prevent violations of the law, discipline and safety from occurring in the unit.
During the year, the agencies and units of the Region have done a good job of ensuring safety in training, live ammunition testing, grenade throwing, mine-laying, drills, and force maneuvers; synchronously deploying measures to ensure safety for soldiers when participating in traffic. In particular, focusing on strictly managing people and vehicles entering and leaving the barracks; regularly checking alcohol concentration and compliance with traffic regulations of officers and soldiers.
At the conference, discussions also focused on analyzing and clarifying limitations, shortcomings, causes, and responsibilities, while proposing directions and remedial measures to improve the quality of safety assurance in studying, working, and participating in traffic at the unit in the coming time.
In his speech, Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to pay attention to, maintain, and effectively carry out propaganda and education work to raise awareness, consciousness, and responsibility for ensuring safety in studying, working, and participating in traffic for officers and soldiers; proactively grasp the situation of units and areas; strictly manage the number of soldiers and relationships; regularly inspect and learn from experience in complying with regulations on ensuring safety in units, not allowing violations of the law, discipline, and unsafety in activities...
