Naval Region 5 Command held the oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2025

On the morning of June 4, in Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province), the Naval Region 5 Command held an oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2025. Colonel Ngo Van Thanh, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Region attended and directed.

Also attending were comrades in the Party Committee, heads of the Regional Command; commanders of agencies and units; representatives of local Party committees, authorities, military agencies and relatives of new soldiers enlisting in the Region.

In 2025, the Naval Region 5 Command was assigned the task of training new soldiers from the provinces of Soc Trang, Ca Mau and Kien Giang. During the 3-month training at the 563rd Marine Battalion, new soldiers were taught and nurtured with basic knowledge of politics , military, logistics, technology; traditions of the nation, the Army and the duty to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

During the training process at the unit, new soldiers have a good sense of responsibility, feel secure in their work, strictly comply with the laws of the State, military discipline, and regulations of the unit; actively strive, study, practice, and work; have a firm grasp of the training contents and subjects; and are proficient in the essentials of individual technical and tactical movements.

The unit's final exam results were 100% good and excellent. Among them, setting off explosives and throwing grenades at long range achieved excellent results, ensuring absolute safety. The oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers affirmed their maturity after the initial training andeducation period in the military environment.

At the ceremony, the new soldiers performed 5 dances in a group activity with music. The performances were lively and energetic, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and the desire to contribute of the youth. This was a meaningful activity, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, helping the new soldiers to be more attached to the unit, determined to strive, train, and complete the assigned tasks well.

Immediately after the ceremony, the Naval Region 5 Command directed the relevant agencies to complete related work, organize the new soldiers to the new unit to continue training in specialized content.
