Highlighting achievements and contributions in the 80-year journey of the Culture sector
On August 22, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) Nguyen Van Hung chaired the rehearsal of art programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Opening Ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Also attending were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh; Deputy Ministers: Ta Quang Dong, Trinh Thi Thuy and representatives of relevant units.
The art program at the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day took place on the morning of August 23 at the Hanoi Opera House, hosted by the Department of Performing Arts, performed by the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Speaking at the rehearsal, Minister Nguyen Van Hung acknowledged the efforts and meticulous staging of the artists, actors, and theater. However, the Minister suggested that the art program should be shorter and more concise to ensure the overall time of the entire Celebration, while also demonstrating the contributions and pride of the cultural sector in the journey of building, protecting, and developing the country over the past 80 years.
The Minister requested to review and immediately adjust some contents that were pointed out by the Ministry's leaders at the rehearsal to complete and ensure that the program taking place at the Anniversary Ceremony meets both the required duration and quality.
The program is expected to feature many famous singers such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Anh Tho, Dao To Loan, Viet Danh, Bao Yen, Phuc Dai, Viet Anh, Thuy Anh, Trinh Minh Hien; Thoi Gian Group, Phuong Nam Group; Choir, Contemporary Dance Group. The program's artistic direction is by Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater. Scriptwriter, General Director: People's Artist Tran Binh.
The highlight of the program will be to convey the messages that Culture must light the way for the nation; The dedication, devotion, and willingness to sacrifice of the staff, employees, artists... of the Culture, Information and Arts sector so that the country can continuously gain victories from the liberation of Dien Bien to the Great Spring Victory, bringing joy to the country.
A highlight of the program was the remembrance and gratitude of artists who were soldiers in the two resistance wars to save the nation. The final part of the program was a song about the era of rising up, culture accompanying and developing with the country.
Highest determination, ensuring the best quality for art events on National Day
In order to prepare well for the art programs celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, at noon of the same day, Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired a working session with relevant units.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong reported on upcoming art programs such as: The concert program "Vietnam in me" will take place on August 26 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi); The art program to welcome the Opening Ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition. Next is the political art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 taking place on the evening of September 1 at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi.

Currently, the programs have been and are being urgently deployed. Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong also said that the political art program on September 1 will have the participation of many famous veteran singers as well as young singers who are loved by the public such as: Thanh Lam, My Tam, Mono, Den Vau, Anh Tu...
Giving instructions for each specific program, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that these are all extremely important tasks, receiving attention from Party and State leaders and the general public.
Therefore, the Minister requested relevant units to review the stage of the concert program "Vietnam in me", the performances must ensure quality and be loved by the public. The program script needs to continue to be completed through preliminary and final rehearsals to ensure quality, meet artistic requirements, convey meaningful messages, create strong impressions, spread pride and love for the homeland and country to the public.
Regarding the art program to welcome the Opening Ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition on August 28, the Minister requested that the performances be carefully selected, so that they include both classical chamber music, folk songs from the three regions, and vibrant modern music.
Each song and each part, although distinct and different in style, must have appropriate and smooth transitions. The performances must be performed by famous singers. The detailed script must be completed soon and reported to the Ministry's leaders.
For the Political Art Program on the evening of September 1, the Minister requested elaborate staging, harmoniously combining art and politics, creating emotional moments, arousing national pride and love for the Fatherland.
The Minister emphasized that the Ministry's upcoming art programs must ensure professional quality and professionalism. In addition, the work of ensuring order, safety, security, and hygiene before, during, and after the program must also be strictly implemented.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung requested all units to participate with high determination, coordinate synchronously, and jointly remove obstacles to successfully complete important tasks as well as special art programs on this occasion.
