Ministry of Health abolishes 17 administrative procedures on drug circulation registration

On June 23, the Ministry of Health announced that it had issued a decision to abolish 17 administrative procedures under the management scope specified in Circular No. 12/2025/TT-BYT on registration of circulation of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Health announced the abolition of 9 administrative procedures that were announced in Decision No. 2700/QD-BYT dated October 4, 2022 of the Ministry of Health on the announcement of administrative procedures issued/abolished in the field of Pharmaceuticals under the management scope of the Ministry of Health in Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BYT dated September 5, 2022 of the Ministry of Health.

Abolish Decision No. 2898/QD-BYT dated September 30, 2024 of the Ministry of Health on amending and supplementing a number of contents of administrative procedures in Decision No. 2700/QD-BYT dated October 4, 2022 of the Ministry of Health on promulgating administrative procedures issued/abolished in the field of Pharmaceuticals under the management scope of the Ministry of Health in Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BYT dated September 5, 2022 of the Ministry of Health.

Abolish Decision No. 74/QD-BYT dated January 7, 2025 of the Ministry of Health on promulgating amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the Pharmaceutical sector under the management of the Ministry of Health as prescribed in Circular No. 55/2024/TT-BYT dated December 31, 2024 of the Minister of Health on amending and supplementing a number of articles on extending the registration certificate for circulation of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients in Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BYT dated September 5, 2022 of the Minister of Health regulating the registration of circulation of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients.

In addition, the Ministry of Health abolished 08 administrative procedures announced in Decision No. 3419/QD-BYT dated August 31, 2023 of the Ministry of Health on promulgating newly issued administrative procedures and abolished administrative procedures in the pharmaceutical sector under the management scope of the Ministry of Health in Circular No. 16/2023/TT-BYT dated August 15, 2023 of the Ministry of Health.

The abolished procedures include: Procedures for granting circulation registration certificates for new pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines, and medical biological products; Procedures for granting circulation registration certificates for generic drugs; Procedures for granting circulation registration certificates for herbal drugs.../.
