Ministry of Health asks hospitals to prepare COVID-19 isolation areas

In Vietnam, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 148 scattered cases of COVID-19 recorded in 27 provinces and cities and no deaths have been recorded.

To proactively respond to the COVID-19 epidemic situation, ensuring good examination, detection, admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests directors of hospitals and institutes under the Ministry of Health , directors of provincial and municipal Departments of Health, and heads of health departments of ministries and branches to urgently deploy a number of anti-epidemic solutions.

In particular, it is recommended to review and update the plan for admission and treatment of COVID-19 patients of the province and medical examination and treatment facilities according to the forecast of the epidemic situation, to avoid passive and unexpected response.

Hospitals prepare facilities, isolation areas, medical equipment, and medical supplies to organize admission, isolation, diagnosis, treatment, and infection control.

Medical facilities strengthen infection prevention measures, especially respiratory infections, to minimize the spread of disease in medical examination and treatment facilities.

There are solutions to ensure safety for patients in high-risk groups (such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, serious illnesses, the elderly, etc.), intensive care areas, cardiovascular, artificial kidney, surgery, etc.

At the same time, strengthen the work of cleaning the outside environment, cleaning the hospital rooms, arranging convenient departments, suitable for the epidemic situation and ensuring the environment; seriously implement the reporting of cases according to the regulations in Circular 54 of 2015 of the Minister of Health.
