Na Cai village is a particularly difficult village of Vu Lang commune, located 9 km from the commune center. The villagers are mainly Tay ethnic people, and their income depends on agricultural production. In that situation, the Women's Union of Na Cai village determined that mass mobilization work is the "key" to connecting the community, helping each other develop the economy , maintain security and order, and build new rural areas.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thi, Head of the Women's Union of Na Cai village, shared: In recent years, the union has organized many propaganda sessions, mobilizing members and people in the village to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws; actively participate in the emulation movements "Building new-age Lang women", carry out the campaign "Building a family of 5 no 3 clean" associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas"...
One of the outstanding successes of the association is to mobilize female members to promote their families to participate in donating land to build rural roads. Specifically, the village has a narrow road to Pa Hut hamlet, making it difficult to travel. In 2023 and 2024, when the State had a policy to invest in building the road, the association organized 6 meetings to mobilize members with production land in the area that needed to be cleared to donate land to create a flat surface. Thanks to that, the families of the members agreed to donate land with an area of over 2,000m2.
In addition to donating land for road construction, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the association also registered the project with the village Party Cell and the Commune Women's Union to plant and take care of flowers along District Road 73 and the road to the village cultural house with a total length of 1,500m. At the same time, it mobilized members to organize 25 cleaning campaigns for village roads and alleys, contributing more than 2,000 working days; mobilized members to contribute 50 million VND to repair the cultural house; and propagated members to classify waste and dispose of it in the right place.
Not only that, skillful mass mobilization is also clearly demonstrated in the economic development movement. Accordingly, the association propagates, mobilizes, and guides members to change the structure of crops and livestock; and borrow preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank to invest in developing economic models.
A typical example is Ms. Luong Thi Ngoc's family. In 2023, her family boldly borrowed 100 million VND from the Bac Son Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to invest in livestock development and has now escaped poverty. Chi Ngoc shared: "In the past, my family's economy was very difficult. Thanks to the guidance of the village and commune women's cadres, I borrowed preferential capital to invest in raising cows and pigs. When I borrowed capital, I was able to participate in training courses on science and technology transfer in the commune, thanks to which the models developed well. On average, each year my family sells 50 pigs and 4-5 cows, bringing in an income of nearly 200 million VND."
In addition to Ms. Ngoc, many women members in the village have effectively developed economic models such as: growing oranges; planting forests (acacia, anise); raising livestock (buffalo, cow, horse, pig) ... Currently, the association has 30 members with an income of 100 million VND/year or more; the number of poor member households is 9 (3 households less than in 2020).
Not only mobilizing members to effectively implement the new rural construction movement and the economic development movement, in recent years, the Women's Union of Na Cai village has also mobilized members and families to properly implement the village's conventions and covenants; eliminate bad customs in weddings and funerals, practice a civilized lifestyle; mobilize members' children to properly comply with the provisions of the law; effectively implement cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements...
Ms. Vu Thi Hang, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Vu Lang commune, assessed: The Women's Union of Na Cai village is a united, dynamic and creative collective. The women not only do well in the union's work but are also the core force in all local movements. Each member is an active propagandist in mass mobilization work, thereby contributing to helping the village change and develop more and more.
With these efforts, over the years, the Na Cai Village Women's Union has been commended and rewarded by the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Women's Union. Most recently, in September 2025, the union was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" for the period 2021-2025.
