Hanoi Old Quarter 'causes a fever' at the first Autumn Fair

The first Autumn Fair - 2025 is taking place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ) is the largest trade and cultural event of the year, gathering 34 provinces and cities with more than 2,500 domestic and foreign enterprises. With a scale of more than 130,000 m², the fair is considered a "national super fair", a place to promote the quintessence of products and regional cultures across the country.

In the middle of that vast space, the “Quintessence of Autumn in Hanoi” area stands out like a miniature “old town”, attracting a large number of tourists from the first day of opening.

From the mossy tiled roofs, the bright red The Huc bridge to the yellow color of autumn leaves are delicately recreated, all bring a feeling of both familiarity and freshness in the middle of a national fair.

Hanoi's exhibition area is located in the main hall, with an open design covering an area of over 17,000 m².

This is one of the most elaborately invested spaces, converging more than 300 typical products of the capital, from industry, handicrafts, fashion , cuisine to creative technology.

The highlight that attracts tourists is the area simulating “Autumn Street of Hanoi”, where the image of old-style electric poles, bluestone paved roads, interspersed with stalls selling traditional craft products such as Bat Trang pottery, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo… is recreated.

“I feel like I’m walking around the old town. Each stall has its own story, from traditional crafts to new creative products. The layout is very sophisticated, both modern and preserving the old spirit,” said Ms. Le Thu Hang, a tourist from Hai Phong .

Not only the people, but also many artisans who participated in introducing their products were moved to be present in a space imbued with the soul of the Capital. "We display not only to sell, but also to tell the story of the profession. Many young people stopped to watch and ask very detailed questions, which makes me believe that traditional crafts still have a place in modern life," said an artisan from Hanoi.

Besides the old quarter, “Quintessence of Autumn Hanoi” also has areas promoting OCOP products, craft villages, culinary spaces and decorative miniatures.

Many tourists lingered to take photos, enjoy to he (toys), green rice flakes, moon cakes, etc. and capture memorable moments.

Hanoi's space is also an important stop in the chain of trading activities and business connections.

Here, many modern industrial processing, mechanical and supporting technology products are introduced, showing the strong transformation of the capital in the integration period.

The success of the first Autumn Fair - 2025 will lay the foundation for the formation of an annual four-season fair chain "Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter", becoming a destination for trade promotion, stimulating consumption and developing Vietnam's important cultural industry, aiming to reach international standards. The Fair is expected to be open to visitors until November 4 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center.
