However, in reality, many people, especially motorcyclists, still do not comply, leading to the risk of traffic accidents.

When seeing a sign and reading the words painted on the road, drivers must stop, look both ways, and only proceed when it is safe.

According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, this regulation has been applied in Japan, when drivers see the STOP sign, they are forced to stop for 3 seconds to perform the "stop - confirm - go" procedure. If they violate this rule, they will be fined from 1 - 1.3 million VND and have 2 - 6 points deducted from their driver's license.
