Folk song bridge - A place to connect and spread love
Over the past decade, VOV3's Folk Songs program has affirmed its position as one of the most popular traditional music programs. Editor Thuy Thuy - the person who created and implemented the program with passion and endless creativity, has brought the audience rich and diverse programs in terms of topics, from familiar folk songs to newly composed songs. Folk Songs is not only a radio program but also a bridge for people to enjoy and share their passion for traditional music.
Thuy Thuy confided: "After 15 years of working with 'Nhip Cau Dan Ca', I always feel happy when receiving positive feedback from the audience. From handwritten letters filled with love to excited phone calls, I understand that folk songs and traditional music are not only familiar melodies but also a part of memories, a thread connecting hearts that love music."
MC Thuy Thuy chatted with Meritorious Artist Thu Trang in a VOV3 program.
Thuy Thuy and her colleagues are not only program creators but also companions with the audience on the journey to discover the beauty of traditional music with the desire to create a musical space that is both traditional and modern, meeting the needs of all audiences. Each broadcast program is a gift that Thuy wants to give to those who love traditional music.
To renew folk melodies, Thuy Thuy does not stop at modern arrangements but also creates opportunities for young people to participate in the creative process. "We have organized many competitions to compose new lyrics, created an online forum where young people can share, learn and create new folk songs together. In this way, we want to connect generations, create a community of people who love folk music, together preserve and develop traditional cultural values", Thuy Thuy expressed.
Editor Thuy Thuy shared that the business trip to Lang Son and Co To left her with deep impressions. Even in remote areas, on the border or on islands, she was always welcomed with warm smiles and firm handshakes. The most surprising thing was that the people here, despite living in difficult conditions, always gave artists special attention. "They know my name, my age, and even know by heart the songs I have performed. Their sincere feelings have become a great motivation for me to continue to create and contribute," Thuy Thuy was moved.
Every day, Thuy feels so lucky to work with music lovers. She is always full of energy and new ideas to bring traditional music closer to the public. Thuy dreams of organizing a large-scale traditional music festival where people can sing, dance and enjoy traditional melodies together. And she believes that, with everyone's support, that dream will soon come true.
