It is worth noting that Buriram United used many of their best players in the Thai League Cup semi-final, such as Theerathon Bunmathan, Pansa Hemviboon, Lucas Crispim, Ko Myung Seok, Pitthiwat Sukjitthammakul or Jefferson Tabinas...

In addition, players including Seksan Ratree and Guilherme Bissoli also came off the bench, before scoring for Buriram United late in the match.
Buriram United used a series of the above mentioned players, even though in just a few days they will have a rematch with Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) in the second leg of the final of the Southeast Asian C1 Cup, taking place on May 21.

Against the underdog Nongbua Pitchaya FC, Buriram United had a resounding 7-0 victory. This victory brought Theerathon Bunmathan and his teammates to the Thai League Cup final.
The next notable thing is that right after the second leg of the Southeast Asian Cup C1 final against CAHN Club on May 21, Buriram United will have two more finals.
One is the Thai FA Cup final on May 24 (against Muangthong United), and the other is the Thai League final on May 31 (against Lamphun Warriors).
