With 79,000 volunteers and 17,500 staff across France, the Red Cross is active in responding to every crisis, whether economic , health, social, climate or personal. It supports those most affected with psychological, physical and material support and helps them to stand on their own feet, with integration and return-to-work solutions. The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, founded by Henri Dunant, is based on seven founding principles that shape its orientation, its ethos, its raison d'etre and its unique essence: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality. They all begin with humanity.
Everywhere, the work of the Red Cross aims to prevent and alleviate suffering in the most vulnerable places, by focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable, while respecting their dignity.
