BYD joins hands with Grab to promote demand for electric cars

BYD Vietnam Automobile Co., Ltd. (BYD Vietnam) officially announced its cooperation with Grab Vietnam to promote the use of electric vehicles in Vietnam.

Within the framework of cooperation, the two sides will jointly implement the program "Quality each trip - Closing BYD" from May 19 to August 19, 2025, providing attractive incentives and support to encourage driver partners to switch to electric vehicles. The cooperation marks an important step in the green transformation journey for service vehicles, towards a new experience: high-end electric vehicles - smooth operation - optimal economic efficiency.

Mr. Ouyang Xiaocheng, General Director of BYD Vietnam, said: “BYD not only provides new energy vehicles, but also works with Grab Vietnam to create a new service experience in Vietnam, where drivers are accompanied by advanced technology, where customers experience the journey as if they were in a high-end car model”.

Redefining the service vehicle standard

The service vehicle market in Vietnam is witnessing a strong transformation, from traditional internal combustion engines to the trend of environmentally friendly electric vehicles, from the "sufficient" experience to the expectation of comfort, convenience and class. As the world's leading new energy vehicle manufacturer, BYD Vietnam proactively accompanies Grab Vietnam, the No. 1 ride-hailing application in terms of the most used brand, to realize this trend with optimal vehicle solutions, exclusively for technology drivers and Vietnamese customers.

Within the framework of the program, BYD Vietnam introduced a specialized electric vehicle product portfolio for GrabCar drivers, with the main vehicle line being the BYD M6 Premium Car - a 7-seat pure electric MPV with a modern design, spacious interior and advanced safety technology . In addition, outstanding electric vehicle lines such as BYD ATTO 3, BYD DOLPHIN and BYD SEAL were also included in the program, serving a variety of operating needs: from flexible urban vehicles to VIP passenger pick-up vehicles.

The campaign targets 02 (two) key target groups:

GrabCar driver: currently using a gasoline vehicle, wanting to switch to an electric vehicle to save operating costs, easy maintenance, high-class interior and modern equipment.

Grab consumers/customers: enhance their travel experience with luxurious car space, smooth and quiet operation, and the feeling of "riding Grab like riding a private car".

During the campaign, GrabCar drivers who register to buy a BYD car will enjoy exclusive incentives including: guaranteed income of up to 25 million VND/month, activation of GrabCar Plus service (terms and conditions apply), 8-year battery warranty or 500,000 km, whichever comes first.

BYD M6 - New star of high-end service vehicle segment

The centerpiece of the campaign is the BYD M6, a fully electric MPV that is convenient for both personal and business use. The BYD M6 features a spacious 3-row interior, a large entertainment screen, comfortable leather seats, and separate air conditioning for each zone – meeting the needs of both the driver and passengers. The vehicle is equipped with a powerful electric motor, regenerative braking system, and fast charging capability – optimizing continuous operating time throughout the day.

Along with BYD M6, three prominent electric vehicle models of the company are also integrated into the Grab ecosystem:

BYD ATTO 3 - Dynamic urban SUV, suitable for modern GrabCar Plus drivers, with lots of technology.

BYD DOLPHIN - compact and flexible electric hatchback, suitable for GrabCar drivers looking for an economical, stable-operating car.

BYD SEAL - high-end sedan, aiming at VIP transportation service with modern interior, luxurious experience.
