The Ministry of Finance, in its role of assisting the Government in state management of public assets, has recently submitted to the National Assembly , the Government, and the Prime Minister legal documents to create a legal basis for the arrangement, disposition, and handling of public assets, and reported to the Prime Minister for promulgation or promulgated under its authority directive documents to urge and guide implementation.

On November 11, 2025, the Prime Minister signed Official Dispatch No. 213/CD-TTg requesting to accelerate the progress of arranging and handling housing and land facilities after the reorganization of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels. The Official Dispatch emphasized the adjustment of planning, prioritizing the arrangement for the health, education, culture, sports, and public sectors, as well as the orientation for handling the remaining assets after prioritizing these essential needs.

The Ministry of Finance said it has assigned specialized staff to monitor each locality; at the same time, it has organized many working groups to work directly before, during and after the administrative unit rearrangement process. In the coming time, the Ministry of Finance will publicize the progress of handling surplus houses and land nationwide, in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction.
