(CLO) Leading Chinese telecommunications companies and providers are integrating artificial intelligence (AI) models developed by DeepSeek into their products.
Specifically, China's Great Wall Auto Corporation confirmed it has integrated DeepSeek into its smart vehicle system, called "Coffee Intelligence." These are the latest companies to leverage this startup's technological breakthrough to enhance their competitiveness.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said on Saturday that the country's three largest telecommunications companies—China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom—are seeking to "promote the widespread application of the latest AI technology" through collaboration with DeepSeek's open-source model.
DeepSeek's AI platform has attracted significant investor interest and sparked a wave of speculation in Chinese technology assets. Investors flocked to buy AI-related stocks, including chip manufacturers, software design companies, and data center operators.
However, on Sunday, two listed companies that investors had expected to benefit from DeepSeek's low-cost model warned that their business prospects had not changed significantly.
Capitalonline Data Service, a Beijing-based cloud computing company, confirmed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange that it has deployed the DeepSeek-R1 model. The company's shares surged 49% from Wednesday to Friday last week. However, the company stressed that the true impact of DeepSeek on its future business and financial results remains uncertain.
Similarly, Shenzhen-based MeiG Smart Technology, a provider of IoT devices, also announced that it is in the early stages of researching and adapting the DeepSeek model. The company emphasized that this development has not yet generated new revenue. Despite this, MeiG's stock still rose 33% from Wednesday to Friday.
Besides Great Wall and telecommunications companies, other Chinese tech giants like Tencent and Huawei also announced last week that they have integrated DeepSeek's AI model into their products.
