Most schools calculate 10 points for IELTS certificates from 8.0 and above, except for the Diplomatic Academy, which has the highest requirement, converting points for candidates with IELTS from 6.0 and only calculating 10 points for candidates with IELTS from 8.5 and above.

Meanwhile, the University of Commerce gives 10 points to candidates with IELTS from 5.0. The two schools that accept IELTS certificates from 4.0 and above are the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture and Hanoi Capital University.
