Leaders of the Provincial Center for Disease Control handed over village medical equipment bags and mechanical blood pressure monitors to village health workers and village midwives.
At the program, the Provincial Center for Disease Control, representing the Project Management Board of the United Nations Children's Fund, handed over 516 village medical kits and 516 AKANTO mechanical blood pressure monitors to village and hamlet health workers; village and hamlet midwives in the districts of Ha Quang, Bao Lam, Bao Lac, Nguyen Binh with a total value of about 40,000 USD. Each village medical kit includes 19 items, machines, and equipment for initial medical first aid and emergency activities such as: syringes, thermometers, clamps with pins, winnowing trays without pins, scissors, tape measures, tongue depressors, flashlights, medical kits, cotton swabs, bandages, leg braces, forearm braces, heart and lung stethoscopes, etc.
Receiving and using the village medical kit and mechanical blood pressure monitor will increase the accessibility to patients for village health workers and village midwives. At the same time, it will help many patients in areas affected by Typhoon Yagi in the province to access timely medical examination and treatment, contributing to improving the effectiveness of disease control, reducing human mortality and providing first aid and emergency treatment.
