Traditional medicine training schools must meet prescribed standards.

Among 104 students of 6-year regular medical university, 9.6% are excellent and 85.6% are good. There are 443 students of 6-year regular traditional medicine university, of which 2.2% are excellent and 67.2% are good. There are 167 students of 5-year regular pharmacy university, of which 10.8% are excellent and 71.2% are good.

The Ministry of Health said that the number of training facilities for traditional medicine doctors is increasing, including public and non-public facilities. Training schools and traditional medicine doctors need to meet the standards set by the Ministry of Health to limit and overcome the situation of poor quality or mistakes due to lack of professional capacity.

With medical advances and general trends, traditional medicine doctors need to be equipped with knowledge, perform medical examination and treatment using traditional medicine combined with modern medicine, research, inherit and develop Vietnamese medicine.
