According to the announcement of the Yen Bai Province Hydrometeorological Station, in the next 6-12 hours, the flood on Thao River (Red River) will continue to rise, possibly reaching 34.3m (on BĐ3: 2.3m).

Currently, the water level of the Red River flowing through Yen Bai Bridge, Km280+500, National Highway 37 is close to the bridge inspection vehicle (below the bridge's steel truss system) and there is a lot of garbage and floating trees on the river. To ensure the safety of life and property for organizations and individuals participating in traffic, the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province prohibits all people and vehicles from crossing this bridge.

Vehicles moving to the western districts and towns of the province and the western communes and wards of the city pass through Tuan Quan, Bach Lam, Gioi Phien bridges or Van Phu bridges and vice versa.
