There are about 650 households with about 2,000 people living in 3 expired and seriously degraded apartment buildings in Da Nang.
Currently, there are about 650 households living in 3 state-owned apartment buildings in Da Nang, including Hoa Cuong Specialty Apartment Building (Hoa Cuong Bac, Hai Chau District), Thuan Phuoc Apartment Building (Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District) and Hoa Minh Apartment Building (Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District) who are in a state of worry because the buildings have expired and are seriously degraded.
At Hoa Minh Apartment Complex, the wall system is damaged and cracked.
Grass and weeds grow on the wall, in danger of collapsing at any moment.
Meanwhile, Thuan Phuoc Apartment Complex and Hoa Cuong Specialty Apartment Complex are also in a state of serious degradation, with many pillars cracked, walls leaking, and every time there is heavy rain, water floods the apartments.
According to the owner of 307 Thuan Phuoc Apartment Complex, although his family and other households have tried many times to fix it, they cannot prevent water from flowing into their house because the ceiling and wall system is too rotten, water seeps everywhere. "Every time it rains, water flows into the house through the cracks and crevices on the ceiling and walls. We heard that we will be relocated but we don't know when that will happen," said the apartment owner.
The wall and door system at Thuan Phuoc Apartment Complex is cracked, revealing the iron bars.
The attic ceiling system at Thuan Phuoc Apartment Complex is leaking and moldy, causing water to flow into the apartments every time it rains.
According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang, these 3 apartment buildings are currently in a state of disrepair and must be relocated, cleared, and demolished according to the provisions of law. Currently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has assigned the Department of Construction, the People's Committee of Hai Chau District, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, and the Center for Housing Management and Exploitation to survey the needs of households renting houses... to develop a plan for relocation and clearance. At the same time, the Department also requested that households renting houses in the 3 apartment buildings above coordinate with the city's agencies to conduct a survey of the needs to rent or buy social housing suitable to the conditions of each household to relocate and clear according to the approved plan and plan.
