The more he worked, the more he loved it. Mr. Man began to wish for a larger garden so that he could experience more new plant varieties. He discussed with his wife and decided to use the family's land of several thousand square meters in Ben Cat City (Binh Duong) to grow unique and strange fruit trees that he had hunted for varieties from many countries around the world .

Initially, Mr. Man tried growing chocolate persimmons because this is a rare and valuable fruit. When ripe, persimmons are light yellow or smooth green, the flesh is black or brown, and has a fragrant, slightly sweet taste like chocolate.

However, because he did not have the opportunity to go to the place to choose the seeds and had to buy through an intermediary, he failed many times. The tree grew but did not bear fruit. Not giving up, Mr. Man was determined to find a good variety and was successful in harvesting chocolate persimmons in his garden. In the photo is a guava variety with a strange color rarely seen in Vietnam.

“It is too easy to grow domestic fruit trees. I want my garden to have rare varieties, even those that are difficult to adapt to the soil, so that I can domesticate them. I have traveled to buy many types of trees abroad, then imported them to Vietnam with clear certificates of origin,” Mr. Man shared.

Up to now, Mr. Man's garden has been covered with countless unique and strange fruit trees, very rare in Vietnam such as Lokal chocolate persimmon, Jumbo, Matt Giant, ...; golden star apple; American fig; giant guava; American seedless yellow lemon; American seedless Limca lemon... Currently, Mr. Man's garden has been visited by many people to learn from his experience. However, because it is still in the testing phase, he only invited a few acquaintances to experience it.

“I am testing some new varieties such as cream cake, cream bean, giant red-fleshed sapodilla, Mamey Apple, ma toa longan, purple guava Daeng Ayothaya 3, giant Thai soursop, etc. If successful, I plan to provide varieties to gardeners or those in need. The varieties must be taken from fruit-bearing trees of high quality,” Mr. Man shared, adding that he is currently not thinking about selling fruit to make money, but is testing, and after achieving results, will sell the varieties to those who share the same passion.
