Digital Transformation - Strategic Leverage

Recognizing the role of technology in enhancing competitiveness, Nghe Tinh Port has implemented a digital transformation project for the 2024-2030 period with a total investment of VND 13.4 billion.

The project includes investment in hardware, software, transmission systems and storage devices, aiming to comprehensively modernize the information technology infrastructure. The application of software such as TOST in port operations, electronic office software and asset management systems has helped automate processes, minimize errors and save time, improving work efficiency.

In 2024, despite facing many challenges, Nghe Tinh Port achieved an output of 4.3 million tons, exceeding 100.39% of the plan; revenue of over 200 billion VND, reaching 103.87% of the plan; pre-tax profit of 20.7 billion VND.

By 2025, the Company aims to reach 4.6 million tons of cargo throughput, with an expected revenue of about VND215 billion. Investing in 2 new cranes, upgrading the warehouse system and dredging the channel to a depth of minus 7.2m according to international standards has contributed to improving the port's exploitation capacity, attracting large tonnage ships.

In 2024, Nghe Tinh Port implemented 88 initiatives following the Kaizen model, focusing on improving production and management efficiency. These initiatives include improving loading and unloading processes, optimizing warehouse systems and upgrading equipment, contributing to improving labor productivity and reducing operating costs.

In 2025, the company will continue to invest VND26.5 billion in basic construction projects and equipment purchases, including upgrading bridge decks, cargo yards, internal roads, and purchasing wheel excavators and container forklifts. These investments will not only improve the port's operating capacity but also facilitate the application of new technical innovations, aiming to develop green and smart ports.

Technical innovation initiatives in the 2023-2025 period have significantly contributed to improving the competitiveness of Nghe Tinh Port, affirming its position as one of the modern and professional seaports in the North Central region.

Green Port – Towards Sustainable Development

Nghe Tinh Port also focuses on environmental protection and sustainable development. Measures such as covering the bulk cargo yard, planting more trees, installing anti-dust nets and misting systems have been deployed to limit dust dispersion and improve the working environment.

At the same time, the company also strengthens occupational safety and hygiene, organizes training and periodic inspections to ensure worker safety.

With the spirit of continuous improvement, Nghe Tinh Port has encouraged its staff and workers to propose creative ideas and technical improvements. Mr. Bui Kieu Hung - General Director of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company said: "Each year, the company has approximately 100 creative ideas, effectively serving production. Initiatives such as warehouse exploitation software, document management and storage systems, and improved electronic information portals have been applied, contributing to improving work efficiency and encouraging the creativity of workers".
