On May 29, the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023 - 2025 held a meeting to review and draw experience from the organization of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification and to deploy activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 (A80), according to VNA/Vietnam+.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized that the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day were carefully prepared, successfully organized, solemn, true to the scale of the event, absolutely safe, ensuring the required quality.

The event left a deep impression on the people and international friends. Propaganda work contributed to making the event a particularly profound political activity throughout the Party and society.

In addition, the Standing Secretariat requested that some limitations and shortcomings should be seriously acknowledged and lessons learned to do better for upcoming events, most recently the A80 anniversary activities "must be done better, more complete, more perfect".

From now until the event day, there is not much time left, with a huge amount of work and very high requirements, the Standing Secretariat requests that any problems that arise should be reported to the Politburo and the Secretariat, and any problems in the organization and implementation should be reported to the Central Steering Committee...

The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission plans to organize political and artistic programs, documentaries, cartoons, book publishing... especially the exhibition of achievements of 80 years of the country's founding and 40 years of renovation, which needs to be implemented soon.

Make it most convenient for people to follow events

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized the requirement to "create the most favorable conditions for people to follow events".

The Ministry of National Defense completes and issues the parade and marching plan; presides over and coordinates with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to assign implementation, carefully prepare the parade script, and organize good practice.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides over special art programs, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to celebrate; coordinates in developing scenarios for solemn, practical, appropriate national-level parades and marches...

The Ministry of Public Security has developed a plan to ensure absolute security and safety for commemorative activities nationwide.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with the Government Office, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi City and relevant agencies to finalize the plan and number of international guests, domestic and foreign reporters attending the celebration and related activities, ensuring thoughtfulness, caution and safety.

Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in collaboration with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, and Hanoi City organizes national scientific conferences.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presides over and coordinates with agencies to develop plans to organize meetings between Party and State leaders with people with meritorious services and policy families; and to promote care for the material life of these subjects.

The Ministry of Health coordinates with Hanoi City to ensure health care, especially food hygiene and safety. The Ministry of Home Affairs directs emulation and rewards for individuals and groups with achievements.

The Standing Agency of the Steering Committee shall enhance communication, guidance, monitoring, urging, inspection, and supervision of the organization and implementation plan; coordinate promptly and closely, especially in resolving difficulties and problems that arise.
