The Cyber Command of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially imposed the ban on all officials and employees, the Fars news agency reported. The decision comes as Israel expands its air campaign against Tehran, just five days after a surprise attack on Iran's nuclear and military facilities.
The move shows that Tehran is particularly concerned about the possibility that Israel could use wireless devices to attack Iranian officials, similar to the tactic used against Hezbollah in Lebanon last year. Specifically, on September 17, 2024, thousands of pagers simultaneously exploded in the southern suburbs of Beirut and other Hezbollah strongholds, causing serious casualties to many members of the movement.

Meanwhile, Nour News quoted Iran's Cyber Security Bureau as saying that Israel had launched a large-scale cyber attack targeting the country's digital infrastructure.
According to a report released by Iran's Cyber Security Bureau on June 17, in addition to attacks on civilian areas and economic infrastructure, Israel also targeted Iran's digital infrastructure to disrupt the information flow to the country's people. Iran's cyber security units are currently actively dealing with this wave of attacks.
Earlier, local media reported that Iran's state-owned Sepah Bank had been hit by a cyberattack, leading to disruptions to online services. In response, the IRGC announced that it had successfully attacked a Mossad intelligence agency facility in Tel Aviv, described as a "terrorist planning center."
In a related development, Iran is expected to release images of the captured Israeli F-35 fighter pilots, including a woman. However, Israel has yet to confirm this information.
Tensions between the two countries continued to escalate as Iranian media reported the arrest of a "terrorist group" linked to Israel, along with explosives, in a town near Tehran.
