Warning of flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence in Khanh Hoa province

According to the 2:30 p.m. bulletin of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 6, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places in Khanh Hoa province; rainfall at some stations was as follows: Van Binh 59.7 mm; Dai Lanh 81.0 mm. The soil moisture model showed that some areas in Khanh Hoa province were nearly 80% saturated.

Yellow: medium risk. Red: very high risk. Purple: catastrophic risk.

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, the total rainfall in Khanh Hoa province will be 30-50mm, locally over 70mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas; landslides on slopes, land subsidence in communes in Khanh Hoa province (see photo). Flash floods and landslides have a negative impact on the environment, threatening people's lives; causing local traffic congestion; destroying civil and economic works, causing damage to production, economic and social activities.
