Warning of many fake driver's license websites

The Ministry of Transport has issued a warning that the Driver's License Information Websites at https://gplxgovn.vn and https://gplxgov.com.vn are both fake. The Ministry of Transport has also requested the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information and Communications to work together to prevent and handle these fake addresses.

The Ministry of Transport warns that the website with the domain name tcgplxgov.vn is one of the websites that impersonates the Driver's License Information Website.

Recently, many fake websites of the Driver's License Information Page (https://gplx.gov.vn) managed by the Vietnam Road Administration have appeared on the Internet, affecting the reputation of the Ministry of Transport (MOT).

Faced with that situation, the Ministry of Transport has issued Official Dispatch No. 6716 to the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information and Communications to support the prevention and handling of fake websites of the Driver's License Information Website.

Up to now, the fake websites have been promptly blocked and removed by the Ministries. However, other fake websites with similar interfaces and content to the Driver's License Information Website continue to appear on the Internet.

In order for people, society and relevant agencies to avoid confusion when looking up driver's license data information, and to limit the provision and use of fake driver's licenses, the Ministry of Transport requests the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information and Communications to support the prevention and handling of websites that impersonate the Driver's License Information Page at the addresses: https://gplxgovn.vn and https://gplxgov.com.vn. At the same time, review websites that impersonate the Driver's License Information Page of the Ministry of Transport on the Internet and take measures to prevent similar fake websites from appearing in the future.

The Ministry of Transport also recommended that the Ministry of Information and Communications direct the Department of Information and Communications and the Public Security of provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly handle organizations and individuals managing websites that impersonate the Ministry of Transport's Driver's License Information Website in provinces and cities.

The Ministry of Transport also assigned the Vietnam Road Administration to coordinate with relevant agencies to jointly handle the above-mentioned law violations./.
