Recently, in some localities, there have been cases of individuals impersonating soldiers, agencies and units in the Army to commit fraud. Implementing the Official Dispatch dated October 16, 2025 of the Political Department of Military Region 7 on coordinating propaganda, raising vigilance, and preventing impersonation of soldiers, agencies and units of the Army; the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee requests agencies, units and localities to strengthen propaganda, warning and coordination in prevention.
Specifically, units need to widely propagate to cadres, party members, union members, businesses, business households and people in the area about current fraud tricks, especially in cyberspace, about impersonating state agencies, armed forces, banks, charitable organizations... to commit fraud.

People must always verify and check information in transactions; be wary of third parties in transactions. Note that military units only pay through the State Treasury account or through the unit's account (no transactions through personal accounts); military units never call people or businesses to request to purchase goods on their behalf or help them buy goods and do not request to transfer money to personal accounts.
Agencies and units are also required to coordinate with the police and military forces to provide and share information, typical cases, warnings about new tricks, and ways to prevent them; proactively orient public opinion, not allowing bad elements to take advantage of distortions and incitement. Strengthen the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion related to fraud cases, promptly reporting to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee for synthesis and reporting to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
In addition, it is necessary to use synchronous forms of propaganda (press, social networks, grassroots loudspeaker systems, party cell activities...) to inform and warn about common fraud methods and tricks today and what needs to be done immediately so that people know and prevent them effectively.
Some precautions:
- People absolutely do not provide or post images, personal information, teammates, or units to anyone via phone, text message, or social networks without verifying who the recipient is.
- If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a military officer, call the agency's official phone number or contact them through official channels to verify the information.
- Do not provide your bank account number, OTP, or password to anyone; do not transfer money or make financial transactions at the request of strangers, even if threatened or promised benefits.
- Do not install applications or click on links of unknown origin sent via messages or social networks.
