It is known that on May 8, while performing his duties, Major Dao Thanh Phong - Deputy Captain of the Mobile Police Team, Mobile Police Department, Long An Provincial Police, discovered and picked up a handbag dropped by a citizen on Provincial Road 817, about 2km from Long Thuan Commune Police Station, Thu Thua District, towards National Highway N2.

Inside the bag were 23 million VND in cash, 2 mobile phones, 1 citizen identification card and 1 health insurance card. After discovering it, Major Dao Thanh Phong handed over all the assets to Long Thuan Commune Police to verify and return them to the owner.

On the same day, Long Thuan Commune Police identified the owner as Ms. Le Thi Kieu Loan (born in 1990, residing in Tra Cu Hamlet, Thuan Nghia Hoa Commune, Thanh Hoa District, Long An Province) and proceeded to return all the property. Receiving the property back, Ms. Loan was moved and expressed her gratitude to the police force, especially Major Dao Thanh Phong.
