Saigon Jewelry Company SJC listed the buying price at 78.5 million VND/tael; the selling price was 80.5 million VND/tael, keeping the same price for both buying and selling compared to the opening of the trading session on the same day. The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold was 2 million VND/tael.

At the same time, the gold price at DOJI Group is listed at 78.5-80.5 million VND/tael, stable in both buying and selling. The difference between DOJI gold buying and selling prices is 2 million VND/tael.
SJC gold bars are being sold by Agribank , BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank and gold and gemstone companies at 80.5 million VND/tael. On the buying side, the gold price of the brands is listed at 78.5 million VND/tael.
For gold rings, the listed price of SJC 9999 gold is 77.8 million VND/tael for buying and 79.1 million VND/tael for selling, up 100,000 VND in both directions. DOJI in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets also adjusted the buying and selling prices by 100,000 VND to 78 million VND/tael for buying and 79.2 million VND/tael for selling. The buying and selling prices of PNJ brand gold rings are listed at 78 million VND/tael and 79.2 million VND/tael, up 50,000 VND for buying and 100,000 VND for selling.
The price of Bao Tin Minh Chau's plain round gold rings is currently at 77.98 million VND/tael for buying and 79.18 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 100,000 VND in both directions. Phu Quy SJC is buying gold rings at 78 million VND/tael and selling at 79.2 million VND/tael, unchanged from early this morning.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5am today, Vietnam time, was 2,582.46 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 3.01 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 75.552 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 2.948 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The gold market received optimistic signals from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) at the monetary policy meeting taking place this week. The market is leaning towards the possibility that the Fed will decide to cut 25 basis points.
Mark Leibovit, an expert at VR Metals/Resource Letter, said that the interest rate cut is an important catalyst for the gold market. He commented that gold prices will continue to rise strongly during the Fed's policy meeting.
However, experts say gold could be at risk as the market is over-expecting the Fed to cut interest rates by 50 basis points, which could turn investors away from gold. Currently, the odds of the Fed cutting by 25 basis points are falling, to only 59% compared to more than 70% last week.
Colin Cieszynski, market strategist at SIA Wealth Management, said that if the decline is 25 basis points, it will still help the dollar rise again, which will definitely hurt gold.
Sharing the same view with Colin Cieszynski, market analyst Everett Millman of Gainesville Coins also said that the scenario of the Fed cutting 25 basis points could disappoint many investors, causing gold prices to fall after the policy meeting on September 18.
