
On the morning of October 27th, the Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station issued a flood warning stating that water levels on rivers in Da Nang City were rising rapidly.
Accordingly, the water levels at 8:00 AM on the same day on the rivers were as follows: Vu Gia River at Hoi Khach was at 16.25m, 0.75m above flood level 2; at Ai Nghia it was at 9.08m, 0.08m above flood level 3.

The Thu Bon River at Nong Son is at 16.42m, 1.42m above flood level 3; at Giao Thuy it is at 8.54m, 0.46m below flood level 3; at Cau Lau it is at 3.71m, 0.29m below flood level 3; at Hoi An it is at 1.84m, 0.16m below flood level 3; the Han River at Cam Le is at 1.1m, 0.1m above flood level 1.
According to the Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station's forecast, within the next 6-12 hours, floods on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river will reach level 3, the Han river will be above level 2, and the Tam Ky river will be approximately at level 1.

Over the next 12-24 hours, flood levels on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River will continue to rise and peak above Flood Level 3, while the Han River will peak above Flood Level 2, then fluctuate at high levels before gradually decreasing to levels below Flood Level 1 to Flood Level 2.
There is a risk of flooding in low-lying riverside areas, waterlogging in urban areas, flash floods, and landslides on the slopes of mountainous areas in Da Nang City. Particularly, the following communes are experiencing severe flooding: Que Phuoc, Nong Son, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon, Xuan Phu, Thanh My, Thuong Duc, Ha Nha, Phu Thuan, Vu Gia, Dai Loc, Go Noi, Dien Ban Tay, and Dien Ban Bac…

According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Thuong Duc commune, from the evening of October 26th to this morning, the river water level rose, causing localized flooding in some areas of the commune. As of 7:00 AM this morning, 9 areas were cut off, including Dai My, Thai Chan Son, Truc Ha, Tan An, Tinh Dong Tay, etc. In particular, in group 6 of Tan An village, some houses were flooded to a depth of over 1 meter. A total of 2,120 households with 4,300 people were affected.

Throughout the night, the local police and military forces organized assistance in evacuating residents, raising and moving people's property to safe locations. In the low-lying area of Hamlet 6, Tan An village, the local authorities assisted in relocating property and settling 113 households with 447 people.
