Currently, the whole province has more than 405,000 children, of which nearly 4,500 children are in special circumstances; more than 38,000 children are at risk of falling into special circumstances; tens of thousands of children are children of poor and near-poor households; 192 children are orphaned; 31 children are abandoned; 50 children have no place to depend on; nearly 4,000 children are disabled; 54 children are infected with HIV; 140 children have serious illnesses.
By clearly identifying the work of caring for, protecting and educating children as an important task, contributing to social stability, all levels and functional branches of the province have reached a consensus to take part, creating a safe environment for children to live, study, play and practice.
Accordingly, 100% of children in special circumstances receive care and attention; 100% of children go to school at the right age; 100% of children under 6 years old are issued health insurance cards; nearly 100% of children under 1 year old are fully vaccinated.
Every year, the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Police coordinate to organize propaganda for students about the Road Traffic Law, safe traffic participation; crime prevention and combat, and illegal acts of child abuse and school violence.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training coordinate to organize for students of all levels to participate in a contest to learn about knowledge of ethics education, family lifestyle, and behavioral culture in schools; organize the Book Day and Reading Culture Program; and a children's story-telling contest based on books.
Across the province, children belonging to policy groups who are studying are exempted from tuition fees according to regulations, ensuring their right to education. In localities, 100% of orphans without shelter, abandoned children, and children in difficult circumstances are cared for and assisted promptly.
Mass organizations such as the Women's Union and the Provincial Youth Union actively mobilize philanthropists to support, sponsor, and care for children in special circumstances when they are discovered in the community.
Member units of the Child Protection, Care and Education Board actively coordinate to organize forums with the following topics: Prevention of violence and child abuse; Children talking about children's rights; Parents in managing and educating children in the family to avoid crimes and social evils.
In many cases, children are provided with legal advice by the Department of Justice and participate in litigation to protect their legitimate rights and interests. Dozens of training courses have been opened each year with thousands of people who are commune-level child care officials, collaborators, parents, and caregivers on the following topics: Prevention of accidents and injuries for children; self-protection skills for children; comprehensive care for children in their early years; thousands of communication materials "What do you know about child labor" have been printed and distributed free of charge to people...

Along with the local government, there are also organizations, businesses, and philanthropists who directly participate in sponsorship, helping TE with difficult circumstances to improve their lives and studies. Thanks to that, thousands of TEs receive gifts on holidays and Tet. Hundreds of TEs are given bicycles through the "Dream Road" Program.
Hundreds of children were screened and scheduled for surgery, given orthopedic devices, and given wheelchairs. Many children in difficult circumstances received support for congenital heart surgery; and surgical intervention to correct cleft lip and palate for children with cleft palate.
The results achieved in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children in Thai Nguyen are vivid evidence of the synchronous and effective participation of the entire political system and society. The province has been and is continuing to promote propaganda, raise awareness and responsibility of all classes of people; at the same time, build more friendly models, taking children as the center, ensuring that all children live in a safe and happy environment.
