On the afternoon of October 27, Mr. Duong Thanh Phuoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khe Tre Commune, Hue City, informed that due to heavy rain, the large amount of water flowing from upstream changed the flow, causing landslides. As a result, the road leading to the Leno bridge pier, about 20m long, collapsed at noon the same day, separating hamlets 1 and 3 of Khe Tre Commune, Hue City.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities organized forces to put up warning ropes, fence off dangerous areas and sent forces to stand guard there, not allowing people to approach areas at risk of landslides. At the same time, they advised people not to go out during extreme weather and heavy rain.
