Giving standard helmets to first graders

On October 27, at Doi Can 1 Primary School, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, the Traffic Safety Committee of Thai Nguyen Province and Honda Vina Moto Gia Bay Store organized a program to give standard helmets to 100% of first grade students, school year 2025-2026.

Representatives of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee presented helmets to first grade students at Doi Can 1 Primary School.

In addition, all students are instructed in safe traffic skills such as: Recognizing standard helmets; wearing helmets with straps properly; safe sitting position behind a motorbike; and road traffic signs.

Students are instructed to sit in the back of the car to ensure safety while participating in traffic.

Parents are instructed in safe driving skills with contents such as: Wearing helmets properly; safe driving posture; emergency braking techniques and participating in driving simulation. Thereby helping to raise awareness of students and parents in complying with regulations requiring helmets that meet national technical standards when participating in traffic by motorbike, scooter, electric bicycle, minimizing the consequences of traffic accidents involving children.

The program also contributes to the goal of 100% of children wearing standard helmets when riding motorbikes, scooters, and electric bicycles by 2030. In the 2025-2026 school year, 100% of first graders in the province will receive standard helmets.
