Information bridge promotes trade between Vietnam with Pakistan and ASEAN

In order to enhance information provision and promote economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Pakistan as well as between ASEAN countries and localities of the South Asian country, on January 15, Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan Pham Anh Tuan and Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires of 6 ASEAN countries in Islamabad paid a working visit to Gujranwala Province and inaugurated the ASEAN Trade Support Office at the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

Gujranwala is the third largest industrial center of Pakistan, after Karachi and Faisalabad. The city is famous for its manufacturing of iron and steel, auto parts, textiles, surgical instruments, leather goods, and agricultural and food products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the opening of the ASEAN Trade Support Office at GCCI is a very practical activity to support Pakistani and ASEAN businesses. The office will be a place to provide and update official information on ASEAN's business environment for Pakistani businesses.

In addition, the opening of the Office will facilitate trade promotion of ASEAN countries in Gujranwala and Pakistan. The Office will not only provide updated information to make the trade process easier and faster, but will also be an important link in providing businesses with resources and support to connect with the ASEAN market.

The Vietnamese Ambassador affirmed that the potential for cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and investment between ASEAN and Pakistan is still very large and the Vietnamese Embassy is ready to act as a bridge connecting, supporting businesses and further promoting business cooperation, economics, trade and investment between Pakistani and Vietnamese enterprises.

Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan shared Vietnam's achievements in attracting foreign investment over the past year, providing information that many of the world's leading technology corporations such as MVIDIA, Google, Apple, Intel, Synopsys... are researching and investing in Vietnam.

The Ambassador emphasized that the interest of large corporations in investing and doing business in Vietnam is a testament to the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in attracting foreign investment in the spirit of listening and understanding, sharing vision and action, working together, winning together, and enjoying together on the principle of "harmonious benefits and shared risks".
