The event took place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and in response to World Environment Day on June 5. Delegates planted 70 red ironwood trees on the campus of Thu Dau Mot University.
According to Vietnam News Agency, speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tu Chau, Acting Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, said: The Vietnam - China Friendship Tree Planting Ceremony in 2025 is a meaningful activity and a profound symbol of the solidarity and closeness between Binh Duong province and the Chinese Consulate General. This is also a symbolic image of the continuous cultivation and development of bilateral relations. This activity effectively contributes to the conservation of the natural environment, community connection and building a healthier planet for future generations...
In the coming time, the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to contribute to further deepening bilateral cooperation, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, said that the province has established friendly cooperative relations with 14 foreign localities, including three Chinese localities: Guangzhou, Henan and Anhui. Economic, trade and investment cooperation between Binh Duong and China is increasingly developing. As of April 30, 2025, China is the leading country among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong, with 1,844 projects and a total capital of more than 11.3 billion USD.
