Cuban students excitedly explore 'miniature Vietnam' at the Embassy in Havana

This is an activity within the series of events "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year", celebrating 65 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Students of Vo Thi Thang Primary School visited and experienced Vietnamese culture right at the Embassy campus in Havana.

With a warm welcome from Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, the children had a journey to discover the country, people and culture of Vietnam right in the heart of Cuba. The activity called "Vietnam in miniature" left many deep impressions on the children.

The tour begins with an exploration of the Embassy grounds, where Cuban architecture blends with Vietnamese displays, vividly demonstrating the friendship between the two peoples.

The students were very excited to see the winning paintings from the drawing contest celebrating Vietnam-Cuba relations. The works with innocent strokes vividly expressed the special solidarity between the two nations.

A short film introducing Vietnam's majestic natural landscape, dynamic country, friendly people and multi-ethnic culture has attracted the attention of young audiences.

In particular, the space displaying Vietnamese cultural artifacts opened up a new world of discovery. The children listened attentively to historical stories, cultural symbols, from ceramics to images, symbols and especially miniature models of landmarks and symbols of provinces and cities across Vietnam. An indispensable sensory reward is the enjoyment of Vietnamese cuisine. Typical dishes such as crispy fried spring rolls, sweet and savory mung bean cakes, or crispy shrimp chips quickly conquer the taste buds of young diners from the first try.

The atmosphere became even more exciting with the quiz game "Quick questions - Correct answers - Receive gifts" revolving around knowledge about Vietnam and the 65-year relationship between the two countries.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasized: "Each child today is a future ambassador of Vietnam-Cuba friendship. We believe that from these small experiences, the seeds of solidarity will stay green forever!"
