Mr. Luong Minh Phuc, Director of the HCM City Traffic Construction Investment Management Board (abbreviated as Traffic Board) has just signed Decision No. 9091/QD-BQLDAGT-KHĐT on terminating the construction contract of the embankment body and embankment top package of the Thanh Da Peninsula Erosion Prevention Project - Section 2 ( from Saigon River to the Saigon Domine Hotel area, Binh Thanh District ).

The reason for the contract termination was that Anh Vinh Group Joint Stock Company did not fulfill its obligations to extend the contract guarantee, guarantee the advance payment and seriously violated the construction progress according to the contract, as well as the commitments to the investor in the meetings, seriously affecting the progress, quality and efficiency of the bid package.

In addition, Anh Vinh Group Joint Stock Company abandoned the project 56 consecutive days past the deadline and did not perform the work according to the contract.

Anh Vinh Group Joint Stock Company is constructing a package under the Thanh Da Peninsula Landslide Prevention Project.

It is known that the embankment body and top package implemented by contractor Anh Vinh Group is 2.8 km long, from Saigon River to Saigon Domine Hotel area, Binh Thanh District.

According to the contract, this package is worth 204 billion VND. The package started in June 2018, according to the signed contract, the completion time is 9 months, but until now it has not been completed.

The Thanh Da Peninsula Anti-Landslide Project is 9.5 km long and divided into 3 sections 2, 3, 4 with a total investment of more than 1,340 billion VND. Although construction started in 2018, the Project has only completed a few sections, causing frustration among the people.
