Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thanh Dat surveyed the innovation model at Cuu Long University

On the afternoon of October 22, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; together with the working delegation of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commissions of the Southern provinces and cities visited and surveyed the innovation model and valuable technological solutions at Cuu Long University.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission spoke at the meeting.

Cuu Long University is a non-public higher education institution providing high-quality human resources for Vinh Long province, the Mekong Delta region and the whole country, conducting scientific research and technology transfer activities to meet the needs of industrialization and modernization of the locality and the whole country.

Regarding scientific research and innovation, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu - President of Cuu Long University said that every year the school spends tens of billions of VND on these activities. Focusing on compiling textbooks, updating and improving training programs, scientific research of lecturers and students, participating in startup idea competitions, Tran Dai Nghia Technical Innovation Competition, Eureka, Loa Thanh... many topics are new and highly applicable such as earthworm farming model, mud-free eel farming, creating livelihoods for hundreds of farming households in the Mekong Delta region.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates listened to reports and visited the high-tech agricultural model and circular economy of the Cuu Long Center for Science and Technology Application, Cuu Long University.
