On the evening of October 15, the Hanoi Marathon - Heritage Race 2023 concluded with a closing ceremony, honoring the tournament's outstanding athletes and announcing the 2024 season.
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the athletes who won first place in each distance.
The tournament has the participation of over 12,000 athletes competing on the route passing through 11 of the most famous heritages and landmarks of the capital, through the inner city districts and almost all historical and cultural sites of Hanoi's Old Quarter. Among the competition distances, the most fierce distance is 42km, with the participation of 2,092 athletes.
With careful and elaborate preparation, the tournament was a great success, with the first place in the 42km distance for women being athlete Le Thi Tuyet and the first place in the men's distance being athlete Dino Sefir.
The winner of the 21km women's race was athlete Vang Nhu Quynh, the winner of the same distance for men was athlete Tong Van Hoan; the winner of the 10km women's race was athlete Bui Thi Thu Ha, the winner of the 10km men's race was athlete Geong Schrank.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tri, General Director of DHA Vietnam Company, Head of the Organizing Committee of the race, said that held annually since 2018, the Hanoi Heritage International Marathon is an official race of Hanoi, a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running route standardized by experts from AIMS and the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
The race has joined the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group Ranking System. Achievements at the Hanoi Heritage International Marathon are recognized as qualifying conditions for any race in the system of the 6 largest races on the planet, including the prestigious Boston Marathon.
Since then, the tournament has continuously developed and attracted the participation of not only professional and semi-professional athletes domestically and internationally, but also a particularly meaningful playground that encourages many amateur athletes of all backgrounds and ages with the inspiration that each step today can be a part of creating a future legacy.
After the award ceremony for athletes with high achievements at the tournament, the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Heritage International Marathon officially announced that Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam is the companion of the Hanoi Heritage International Marathon 2024.
