Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court visits and works with the Vietnamese Embassy in China

Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri visited and worked with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China.

On the afternoon of June 5, in Beijing, within the framework of his visit to China, Comrade Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, visited and worked with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China.

Pleased to inform that the visit of comrade Le Minh Tri is the first visit of our Party and State leaders to China right after the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping (April 2025), Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh affirmed that the visit is of great significance in concretizing the high-level common perception and the Vietnam-China Joint Statement in the field of judicial cooperation, contributing to promoting the healthy and stable development of Vietnam-China relations, especially in the context that this year is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh gave an overview of the Vietnam-China relationship and the results of the Embassy's work in the fields of political diplomacy , economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, consular affairs, community work and citizen protection in recent times.

The Ambassador emphasized that in the context of the remarkable development of the bilateral relationship after the highly successful mutual visits of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, substantive cooperation between ministries and branches, including cooperation in the judicial and court systems of the two countries, has always been one of the bright spots of the bilateral relationship.

Relevant authorities of the two sides have actively coordinated in work as well as shared experiences in the fields of judicial reform, building a socialist rule-of-law state, applying digital transformation, and applying science and technology in the court sector.

Party Central Committee Secretary and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri informed about the current situation and major orientations of the country, emphasizing the key tasks that need to be promoted to achieve rapid and sustainable development of the country in the new era.

Appreciating the achievements and contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in China to foreign affairs in general and Vietnam-China relations in particular, comrade Le Minh Tri expressed his belief that the Embassy, with its enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility, will continue to make substantial contributions to the development of relations between the two countries, being an extended arm to help domestic agencies, ministries, sectors and localities cooperate effectively with the Chinese side.

Comrade Le Minh Tri highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in China to foreign affairs in general and Vietnam-China relations in particular.

Comrade Le Minh Tri emphasized that in the context of the positive development of Vietnam-China relations, cooperation between ministries and branches of the two sides, including cooperation in the judicial and court fields, has been continuously strengthened and deepened, effectively contributing to the innovation and development of the two countries, firmly consolidating the trust of social classes and people in the leadership of the Party and the implementation of legal policies in each country, while creating a solid legal foundation for bilateral relations.

Referring to the program and purpose of this visit to China, comrade Le Minh Tri affirmed that with the support and active connection of the Embassy and representative agencies of Vietnam in China, the working delegation has had and will have useful experience-referencing activities on emerging issues that the Vietnamese judiciary needs to do more quickly and effectively, such as the establishment of specialized courts, the application of artificial intelligence and other modern technologies in trials...
