Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition (Vietnam FoodExpo 2025), a national trade promotion event specializing in agricultural products, seafood and food industry, takes place at SECC (HCMC) from November 12 to November 15.
The “Try Swedish” pavilion, co-organized by the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden, brings together Swedish businesses and partners in Vietnam, including Tetra Pak Vietnam - a pioneer in food processing and packaging solutions.
Tetra Pak's goal is to drive collaboration in food technology, packaging and circular innovation, contributing to a sustainable food ecosystem for people and the planet.

Consumer trends and new quality requirements
Today’s consumers are not only concerned with taste, but also demand products that are safe, transparent about their origin and responsible for the environment. According to NielsenIQ (2025), 60% of consumers check the origin information before buying, and the majority are willing to pay more for products with packaging that reduces environmental impact.
Responding to this trend, Vietnam is implementing the National Strategy on Food Safety to 2030, promoting the application of advanced management systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, focusing on risk-based food management. This is an opportunity for F&B businesses to upgrade processes and apply modern technology to meet the increasing demands of the market.
Total quality with Swedish technology
Sweden is known as a pioneer in innovation and sustainable development. According to the Global Innovation Index 2023, Sweden ranks first in the world in terms of technological readiness and is among the top in terms of technological competitiveness.
In the field of food processing and packaging, Tetra Pak - a Swedish corporation with more than 70 years of experience - currently provides solutions to more than 160 markets with the commitment to "Protecting good quality".
In Vietnam, Tetra Pak accompanies F&B manufacturers to improve processing and packaging standards, ensuring food safety, production efficiency and environmental responsibility.
According to Tetra Pak, “total quality” is not only about product quality but also about the combination of processing, packaging, distribution and recycling, towards a circular value chain.

Technology solutions for the future of the F&B industry
In processing, Tetra Pak's UHT sterilization technology allows to extend product shelf life up to 12 months without preservatives or refrigeration, thanks to strict microbiological and temperature control.
Tetra PlantMaster system - Tetra Pak's factory automation and digitalization platform - supports connection and monitoring of the entire production process, helping with instant traceability, consistent quality control and optimized operating costs. This is one of the important tools to help F&B businesses promote digital transformation in production.

In the packaging stage, Tetra Pak's packaging is made mainly from paper materials (accounting for more than 70%), taken from FSC-certified forests, and the company continuously improves to increase the proportion of renewable materials up to 80%, making the packaging easier to recycle.
Tetra Pak also cooperates with relevant parties to expand the collection and recycling chain. Consumers can easily bring used Tetra Pak cartons to Vinamilk , TH retail stores or large supermarkets.
This approach shows that the role of Swedish technology goes beyond processing and packaging products, and also contributes to a more circular F&B value chain.
Partnering to unlock sustainable growth
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Giang, General Director of Tetra Pak Vietnam, shared: “We appreciate the initiative of the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden in bringing the Try Swedish exhibition booth to Vietnam FoodExpo this year.
By combining Sweden's cutting-edge technology with Vietnam's dynamism, we are driving the transformation towards a safe, efficient and sustainable food ecosystem - benefiting people, the planet and future generations."
This perspective clearly demonstrates Tetra Pak's role as a bridge between Swedish technology and the need to upgrade the F&B value chain in Vietnam, specifically ensuring food is available everywhere through advanced processing and packaging solutions, extending shelf life without preservatives; promoting a circular economy through collection and recycling initiatives; reducing carbon emissions, protecting people, food and the planet.
Customers and partners can visit Tetra Pak's booth from now until November 15, booth C6-7, hall A1, SECC, HCMC to experience comprehensive quality supported by Swedish technology.
