Fire at 700 m2 warehouse in Hai Phong, black smoke billowing hundreds of meters high

Leaders of An Hong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city confirmed to Giao thong Newspaper reporters that a large fire is occurring in the commune.

The fire broke out at around 8pm on February 22nd, spreading rapidly and fiercely, lighting up the entire area. A column of black smoke rose hundreds of meters high, accompanied by many loud explosions coming from the burnt area.

The fire was raging so fiercely that the whole area was lit up in the night.

After receiving the news, Hai Phong City Police mobilized 10 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

Present at the scene, Mr. Le Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of An Duong District People's Committee, said that no human casualties have been recorded and that forces are urgently working to control the fire.

It is known that the warehouse mainly contains plastic pellets, plastic products and other flammable items.
