Daily Record reported that PSG President Al-Khelaifi had direct discussions with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly about selling Mbappe to the Stamford Bridge team.
Chelsea could add players and cash to "explode" a blockbuster, bringing Mbappe to "fight" Erling Haaland in the Premier League. A prospect that makes American billionaire Todd Boehly excited and motivated.
However, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea are determined to make a move, given that they have already signed two strikers Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson in the summer transfer window.
Besides, captain Pochettino also intends to bring Moises Caicedo from Brighton.
PSG is forced to find a partner to sell Mbappe this summer, after the 24-year-old striker firmly refused to activate the extension until the summer of 2025.
The Ligue 1 champions are said to have offered €250m for Mbappe, a figure that, according to Marca , Real Madrid "laughed at".
One notable thing is that the Spanish Royal team is completely "silent" and has not made any moves, while everyone knows this is the only place Mbappe wants to go when leaving Paris.
For that reason, PSG believes that Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next year. The striker is even said to be willing to accept the "price" of being a reserve for the entire season in Paris for that.
PSG really wants Chelsea to quickly sign Mbappe, after they were willing to sell the 24-year-old star to Al Hilal (paying 300 million Euros) but Mbappe himself refused to go to the Middle East so they had to give up.
If Chelsea takes action, Liverpool will not have the opportunity to borrow Mbappe as reported yesterday (July 30).
