Always united and striving to overcome difficulties, the Military Party Cell of Vinh Binh town (Go Cong Tay district, Tien Giang province) has led the implementation of tasks related to local military and defense work, achieving many remarkable results.

The Vinh Binh Town Military Party Cell has 10 party members; of which, the Party Cell Secretary is the Party Committee Secretary of the town; the Commander of the Town Military Command is the Deputy Party Cell Secretary. The Town Military Party Cell has advised the Party Committee and People's Committee of Vinh Binh Town to lead and direct the successful completion of local military and defense work; it is a Party Cell that has successfully completed its tasks for 5 consecutive years (2017 - 2021).

PERFORMING LOCAL MILITARY WORK WELL

Over the past time, the Town Military Party Cell has affirmed its position and importance, leading the Town Military Command to build an all-people national defense, associated with the people's war posture in the area increasingly solid; leading care and building a Militia force with reasonable numbers and structures, regularly coordinating to maintain security, politics , social order and safety; acting as the core in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics; contributing to maintaining political stability at the grassroots level; always being trusted by the Party Committee, government and people.

Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Cell, Commander of the Vinh Binh Town Military Command Mai Thach Hao said that in its activities, the Party Cell has focused on leading the Military Command to effectively perform its advisory function to the Party Committee and authorities on local military and defense tasks. Every year, the Party Cell advises the Party Committee to issue specialized resolutions on training and deploy military training for the Militia force according to plan.

The Party cell advises the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the town to effectively carry out all aspects of force building, strictly maintain combat readiness, and effectively carry out training, drills, sports and competitions. Through politicaleducation and combat training, the Town Military Command has contributed to raising awareness among the local militia force to effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and participating in natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue.

The Military Party Cell has led and directed the Town Military Command to coordinate with departments, branches, the Front, and organizations to do a good job in selecting young people to join the army and receiving soldiers who have completed their service and returned to their localities. The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army is also a strength of the locality. The Town Military Command has widely disseminated the Law on Military Service and organized well the first-time registration for citizens in the area.

At the same time, coordinate with the Police, the Justice Department and the neighborhoods to review and make a list of citizens aged 18-27; issue a call to register for military service to each citizen, then review and approve according to the motto "4 public", ensuring democracy and fairness, creating high consensus among the people.

Thanks to that, for many years, Vinh Binh has been one of the leading units in the district in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, without any complaints about this work. At the same time, the military rear policy has been given quite comprehensive attention...

At the same time, the Military Party Cell also directed the Town Military Command to advise on developing plans and organizing training on national defense and security knowledge for subjects in the town; promptly disseminate and thoroughly educate cadres and Party members in the Party Cell to firmly grasp and well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local national defense tasks; raise revolutionary vigilance, prevent and combat the "peaceful evolution" and violent overthrow plots of hostile forces; at the same time, resolutely fight against wrong views, actions of speaking, writing and acting contrary to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws.

FOCUS ON PARTY BUILDING WORK

The Town Military Party Cell has 10 party members, regularly maintaining a full schedule of regular activities (first week of the month) and specialized activities (4 sessions/year); the content of the activities is in accordance with regulations, ensuring the principles in Party activities.

The town's Military Party Committee regularly coordinates patrols to maintain security and order.

The Town Military Party Cell regularly innovates the content and form of activities, grasps the ideological situation and public opinion; promotes emulation movements, creates a vibrant competitive atmosphere, leads cadres and party members to effectively implement the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; at the same time, through the activities, the Party Cell has the opportunity to exchange with the Militia and Self-Defense Force and grasp the actual political security situation in the area, the ideological situation and aspirations of cadres and Militia forces, training work, building the Militia and Self-Defense Force and promptly detects and resolves arising issues, making an important contribution to building a clean and strong Party Cell.

Regarding Party building, the Town Military Party Cell always focuses on Party building in all four aspects: Politics, ideology, ethics and organization. First of all, the Party Cell attaches importance to political and ideological education; cadres and Party members set an example in training, cultivating qualities, ethics, lifestyle, fighting against manifestations of "degeneration", "self-evolution", "self-transformation" in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle".

Party Committee Secretary, Secretary of Vinh Binh Town Military Party Cell Thach Van Du said: In carrying out their tasks, each cadre and party member is always enthusiastic, not afraid of difficulties, has a spirit of self-awareness, honesty, and solidarity. The Party Cell promotes the spirit of self-criticism and criticism of party members, helping each other overcome shortcomings and improve the quality of work.

In addition, the Party Cell Committee has well implemented the resource planning, directed the Town Military Command to mobilize cadres and soldiers to promote the "Determined to Win" emulation movement and local movements. Every year, the town's military force has 1-2 people admitted to the Party.

In order to improve leadership capacity, fighting strength, and build a truly clean and strong Party cell, in addition to fully and promptly disseminating the Party's directives and resolutions to cadres, party members, and soldiers; the Party Cell Executive Committee pays attention to grasping the ideology to promptly educate and encourage those who show signs of decline in awareness and work.

In addition, the Town Military Party Cell promotes the leadership role of cadres, party members and militia forces to effectively carry out the work of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas such as: participating in clearing bushes; planting trees to protect the environment; participating in building bridges and rural roads; coordinating with the police force to patrol, control, maintain political security, order and social safety, contributing to building and consolidating the national defense associated with the increasingly solid people's security posture in the area.

Comrade Mai Thach Hao said: “Through coordinated patrols, we have dispersed many groups of young people gathering late at night on bridges, intersections, and traffic intersections. At the same time, we have reminded shop owners not to trade, organize drinking parties past hours, cause noise, and disrupt security and order. Also through patrols, we have dispersed some groups of people gambling, cockfighting, and stealing…”

By always striving to effectively lead and organize the implementation of military and defense work, the Vinh Binh Town Military Party Cell has demonstrated its high role and responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks, contributing to strengthening the Party's leadership over the Militia and Self-Defense Force in the new situation, enhancing the role of the Militia and Self-Defense Force in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level.
