In a recent tweet, Elon Musk announced that with the "Subscription" feature, users can charge followers for exclusive content, including text-heavy text, long-form videos, etc. At the same time, followers will also have their own identification badge.
Musk’s Twitter also has a “Subscription” button. He said that for just $4 a month, users can “ask Musk anything” every few weeks.

The Tesla CEO is excited about his plan to maximize creator earnings. “Twitter will not keep any of the money users earn from subscriptions for the next 12 months,” he added, excluding the 30% commission that Apple and Google charge on iOS and Android.
However, Google denied Musk's claim in an email to Reuters. The company said it was reducing its service fee for all subscriptions on Google Play from 30% to 15% in 2022.
Twitter's push to boost revenue comes as Mr Musk said the company was now “nearly breaking even” – in a Twitter Spaces interview with BBC News reporter James Clayton.
Since taking over Twitter in October 2022, Musk has rolled out new features, such as Twitter Blue, which allows users to earn a blue checkmark if they pay a monthly membership fee. He has also made several rounds of layoffs, so far cutting about 80% of the staff (more than 6,000 people lost their jobs) and controversially overhauling the way the social network operates.
